Good News for Philly Gun Owners

Philly's antigin city council and mayor have (again!) been handed a defeat on local gun control laws (pre-emption).

PHILADELPHIA — A state court ruled Friday that Philadelphia was not entitled to set its own gun laws, invalidating five measures passed by the City Council last year and striking a blow against the city’s efforts to strengthen gun control.

Two Council members argue that the Penn Uniform Firearms Act didn't affect city laws--in essence, saying that pre-emption doesn't pre-empt?

Decision was Friday but I just saw it.
