Good Pawns in Pheonix AZ?

The yellow pages are full of them and google has just as many. I know there's more than a few people here from AZ so I'm hoping to separate the cream from the crap and save some time in the process; places you would recommend... or not recommend, as the case maybe. Just looking for guns and interesting stuff.

It really isn't relevant as to the reputatioon of the pawn broker, but more a case of what they are offering and at what price. I walked into a rather sleezy pawn shop and found a matched set of beautiful Parker knives at $15 for the set of 3. In another case I bought a pair of very expensive Leupold binoculars for $5. They were 10x42 Gold Rings and retail for nearly $500.

what part of AZ are you in? I know of one that does 15$ transfers on main between Gilbert and Stapley in Mesa

Glendale. But seriously, what is it with all the cool gun places being between Gilbert and mesa? Even half my trades originate from down there

you ought to keep your eye out at Cabelas then, most of the time they are over priced but I have found a couple gems there, I go there once a month on my "Phoenix route" for work. Yeah we have a ton of pawn shops here in mesa, I don't frequent them nearly enough.

Another vote for AZ Pawn and Firearms on University/Hardy in Tempe.

They are great. Great prices. Great selection (except not much C&R) and they still wiggle on the price and make deals with people all the time.
They're good guys.
My buddy actually just started helping out at their shop part-time because he started out as a customer and liked it so much haha.

I buy all my firearms there (if they have them in stock). If there is a lower price somewhere else they will usually match it.

They also go to estate sales and police trade-ins and get all kinds of random guns. I saw one they had on layaway for a guy they got in estate, it was a WWII or older 1911 that some jack-wagon had tried to reblue and the finish was beat up, but even at that it was still cool and the price was great for what it was.
