I have a few shops in the Phoenix area on my site, but only one in Phoenix proper. The owner has had more people view his page on the site than any other shop except one. Considering the success that most other shops on my site have had in getting new customers, I have to assume that he's gotten some as well, especially given the number of viewers he's had.

The owner decided not to renew. So, I have to replace his shop with another.

I've already contacted Arizona Shooters World, but it sometimes takes weeks to get the owner to agree to a free trial.

Anywho, I'm wondering what other Phoenix shops are ones that folks consider quality.

Thanks for any replies.

I like The Pistal Parlor in Mesa. Good prices, good selection (new and used), and friendly people. Even the accessories are not priced out of line.

They seem to have really been working torwards a "one stop shop" business. They carry various holsters, ammo, reloading supplys. They even have USGI AR15 mags at $17 or $18 (can't remember which). That is a good price for an actual store. Especially since some online shops sell the same ones for $20 + shipping

They get the bulk of my business.

I can't say if they would sign up with you but it can't hurt to ask. I know you were looking for actual Phx stores but I that's all I got.

My three favorite stores are:

Bear Arms- friendly, helpfull, and good selection

Lone Wolf- not very big but has great prices

Scottsdale Gun Club- only been there once, but it was nice

These were all good shops when i visited last time i was home about 9 months ago.

Xcaliber guns,a fairly new shop.
It's located at 11426 N. cave
creek road in phoenix.The
phone # is 602-395-5521.They
have a large selection of gun
and reloading supplies,ammo and
holsters.Prices seem to be good
to a little high,overall not a
bad place.

Prescott, J&G Sales. Great company, have never been there, but have done several Internet deals with them, and phone conversations. Nice, knowlegable people.

Armoredman, I've referred a couple of people to J&G who were looking for milsurp rifles, but nobody has ever mentioned them as one of their favorite gun shops. I'll have to get more info about them.

3rdpig, I gave up on trying to calls Scottsdale Gun Club. The person who handles advertising wouldn't ever take my calls. Shop owners outside of Phoenix have said there's an attitude in Scottsdale that probably accounts for that.

Thanks for all the replies. If one Phoenix shop can get the 2nd highest number of viewers, I'm sure one of the shops mentioned will not only get just as many, but maybe more sales.

It's hard for me to believe that a tiny shop 15 miles west of Tupelo, Mississippi is getting new customers from my site, or any of the other small shops in small towns, but a good-sized shop in Phoenix is not.

I've gone to J&G several times. Bought a couple Turk Mausers there (one for my FIL, and one with all matching numbers for myself - my first gun). It a great store, and if any of you are in Prescott I definatly recommend you go there.

Another vote for J&G also. A great place for Mil-surp/C&R, bulk ammo, new and used firearms, etc.

Actually, they are a great place to shop on a budget. I like to take a trip up there once in awhile to restock. :D

Big Bore though i'm not sure how interested he'll be in advertising.

i've never been to j&g but i order ammo from them frequently. good deals. though it's tough to catch things in stock sometimes.

Thumbs down on LoneWolf. At least two of the people working there tell tall tales.

What ruined LoneWolf for me was their fib about a Ladysmith that my sweetie bought. It turns out that the nut that holds the thumb piece on the cylinder release was stripped and left the thumb piece loose. The thumb piece would spin all the way around, obviously wrong. Their story? "It's supposed to be that way so that it will clear the integral gun lock."

Smith made good on it, sending me a new nut for nothing (thanks, S&W!). But I'd rather that Lonewolf had taken care of it. And I'd really rather they hadn't just made up a tall tale.

I made a trade at Bear Arms, and I was very happy with the deal they made me.

Ten years ago I had a good experience at Lone Wolf. Five years ago I was a bit less pleased with how I was treated.

Both stores have good inventories.

A while back I had a mod done to a pistol at Big Bore. Their inventory was fairly small (unless your main interest is 1911s; I've seen indoor gun ranges with bigger selections) but I liked the service I got.

I've been to J&G in Prescott a number of times and I like them. My favorite for buying guns is Randall's firearms on 51st Ave & Olive/Dunlap. For reloading supplies, I like Sportsman's Warehouse on 27th Ave & Yorkshire.

I go to Guns Plus in Surprise, he just leased the shop next to him and expanded his floor space. He is willing to order just about anything you want. deal with Ken(the owner) or Kelly (his wife) and they will treat you right.
