Anyone know of any, besides Gunbroker? I'm looking for good, solid, USGI equipment. Is TRW the only one that is truly good? I've heard about some people selling Springfield Armory (the company) bolts as being made by the Springfield Armory (the government arsenal), and I don't want to get the proverbial pig-in-a-poke.

Thanks,

Mike

Gunbroker will probably be your best bet for the most selection though expensive. Also try Bill Ricca's site, M14-Parts.com, Amherst-Depot, Orion7 Enterprises, Smith Enterprises also may sell you a bolt. Also try the M14 Firing Line Forum classified post a WTB, just watch your p's and q's while over there the admins have an itchy banhammer finger and don't allow much lively discussion but there is a bunch of good info there. Also I figure that you know that a bolt is not always a plug and play part. It needs to fit in your receiver to give the proper head spacing. Some can be dropped right in while others would require work from a gunsmith. The new forged SAI bolts are good too but I'm not sure if you can just buy one.

I'm having Warbirds install one in my Polytech, so the lack of plug-and-play is not a problem. I emailed him asking if he has a bolt, but I have not yet heard back. I gather that Tim at Warbirds is a rather inconsistent emailer. ;)

Thanks,
Mike

Any of the GI bolts are just fine, TRW, HRA, Winchester (marked 66118), and original SA (U.S. Armory) bolts.

True, but finding them - any of them is the problem...
