I don't know about most, but if I'm loading bottle neck for a bolt gun, I won't use mixed brass. I pass on most of the once fired brass deals out there, simply for that reason.
You should be able to get a little more for it, maybe .15?
All said and done, I'll spend $25 - $30 for 100 matching head stamps.
I am with gamestalker. For once fired brass in the box .20-.25 a round would not be unreasonable IMHO. .05-.07 is what it would be worth for scrap value. Just sayin........
That is low for a case that size. I have sold 270's, 30-06's, ect for 25 cents and will soon have some more. 5 cents is more in line for something like 9mm, 40 S&W or 223. You can get an idea by checking out the prices in the for sale section.
"...Don't own a .270 anymore. Is this a good price?..." Eh? No price is good if you don't own a rifle chambered in whatever. Having brass and no rifle has been used as a reason for buying said rifle though. Instead of "I want one."
What proof is being provided that it actually is 'once fired'?
There's a guy on Amazon asking $31.20 for 100 Winchester cases. Another guy on Gunbroker asking $30 per 100 for a mixed bag.
