Most of these post about being "made" by someone concern a weapon printing through clothing or being exposed in some way. Mine is a little different in that I was made by the "noise" of the cartridges in the cylinder of my 342PD as I lightly jogged to my truck in the rain.

Guy I was with asked about all of the clicking sounds from my right side. I just said it was loose change in my pocket but I don't think he bought it, but he at least dropped the subject.

It's something I never gave a thought to until then. Question is, what could be done to prevent it ???????? Nothing that I can think of that wouldn't possibly affect the guns operation....... Your thoughts?????

Interesting question. I've always carried an auto but I just loaded up a sixgun and shook it. It does clink a bit.

I think we're collectively way more worried than most people are perceptive. How many people would really think "I know thats the jingle of a revolver and not coins or key?" I think its a slim number. Even if they do suspect its a gun they still don't know and won't be disrobing you to find out. Relax, keep carrying. :)

As an auto carrier, I've never encountered this. On the other hand, I have had times where my holster was creaking so loud I was sure everyone with 50 feet could hear it. Never got any comments, though...

Im suprised he could hear that with the noise of your feet hitting the ground. It couldn't have been that loud. Also, Im in the same town as you. :D

I'm not concerned about it at all, I'm just surprised that I never noticed it before. They are pretty loud if you shake it so they strike the recoil shield........

I agree about the auto and that's what I carry in colder weather but summer is now here (thank God) and the 342 goes into the daily dress.....

Then WHY aren't we shooting together????? I'm in need of a shooting buddy and I belong to RCWA so we have a great place to go, holler when you can make it..... But if it starts raining and we run for the truck, please don't ask why I click when I run..... lol.......
