Got my deer

Shot this 10pt this evening. Savage 10 Predator .260Rem 123gr AMAX over H4350. I am running them at about 2850fps. I hit him in the chest at 100yds he was facing me. He dropped in his tracks and kicked a few times and done.

Thanks for the report on the A-max. Many don't know that Hornady lists in their manual that it's suitable (in some weights/calibers) for medium game.

I've thought about trying some myself. I've gotten good results from some Rem. 120gr SST's (MidwayUSA blems) and similar load.
My rifle though has a 1/10" twist and won't shoot well (6-8" groups) with 129gr SST's, and won't hit target at 100yds with 140gr SST's.

Exit wounds, penetration ??? Recovered bullet ?
