So I sent it back and demanded a new frame.

"Not to nit-pik" but Glock is aware of this problem and upon request is replacing the frames "no questions asked". So your statement where you "demanded a new frame" is a slight bit disingenuous. Simply telling them that you have a problem would have gotten you a new frame. Just saying...

+1, ET. Simply asking would probably have done the same thing. It crossed my mind to count the number of times OP used the words "I demanded," but I didn't really want to read the post, again.

I have other acclaimed combat pistols that require a much firmer hand when seating a full magazine. I personally have no issues with my ambi G21, and I don't plan on sending it in unless a problem develops (or if I ever manage to scratch up the frame - it's my get out of jail free card).

I have a feeling I will never have a problem, because I've learned to not mash on the button to eject a full mag. I press the mag in while pushing the button (when the mag is full). Doesn't bother me, because I've never wanted a full mag to be easy to release to begin with. OTOH, I have sold or modified guns that were too easy to release a mag.

Even if Glock stops offering them for free, down the road, I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable amount for a brand new frame. That they still offer free swaps on a frame that works fine for probably 99+% of users and which they stopped making many years ago is pretty great support.
