For some reason I just didn't care for the ergonomics of the P6 which still seems kind of strange to me as I have small hands but I loved the Browning BDA 45 (a.k.a. SIG P220), as well as the P226, which of course are both slightly larger pistols. I currently use a P229 with the E2 grips and it's also very comfortable for me to handle, along with a P228 my brother let me borrow when he was away on business. Maybe the P6 was just too narrow for me with it's single stack magazine design.

I had a Benelli B76 years ago. It was definitely one cool looking and handling 9mm. but was way too complicated on the inside for me!

Sorry, I missed this thread earlier, but it's a much better fit in Autoloadres than HGD :)

There's nothing fancy about a P5 or P9S. You want a fancy Euro single stack, go find a Korth or a Korriphila...

Voted the P9S, more interesting from a mechanical point of view.
In any case, for me it's 52% vs 48%.

If you can justify the modern market price for a P5, but especially the HK P9 (or S version), then why not?

Being a lefty, the lever on the P9's left side might get in the way of the index finger?

Definitely P9s. The P5 looks way better, let's be honest, the P9s looks like the inspiration for the High Point. But mechanically the P9s is a much more interesting pistol, and very accurate and pleasant to shoot.

I don't have any experience with the P5/P38 family of firearms, so I admit my bias.
