It was actually a nice catalog, my roomate had pulled the mail and left it on the counter while I wasn't home. The only problem was that his 10 year old got ahold of it and used a permanent marker on it to mark what he liked and wanted. There are no guns featured in the catalog and I didn't ask the kid what he liked the catalog so I have no clue why he made the choices he did. It was nice to see such a large and readily able to read catalog of items I'm usually curious to know the price of.

I do have to wonder though if it has something to do with me finally becomming an NRA member, just got the annual while getting my NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Certification, for $25. Not being able to pay cash for one was the only thing holding me back and I planned to get one in January at the Orlando SHOT SHOW.

Does anyone else get these catalogs, and who tends to have better deals in your laymen's opinion. I'm thinking a visit to Cabela's website to sign up for their catalog mailing list might be a good idea.

Was glad to see they had Tumblers, decent deals on Lee Precision reloaders and lead melters. Was a little disappointed that my local Walmart beat out their Winchester White Box ammo prices. The idea of +P brass had completely escaped my knowledge, I'm guess that's brass used to intentionally load for +P performance.

When my official paperwork and certification comes in I'll have to get a P.O. box so my roomates weekend visitor doesn't make off with any ammo I might order in the future. He one time recently 'hid' an AK mag I had got for twelve bucks through the mail and spun a lie about 'hiding' it. No I haven't ordered ammo before through the mail and certainly won't till I get a P.O. Box.

Check page 24 . . .

... just above the NRA Roundup note on the lower right, and you'll see that they only ship ammo via UPS, so not to any PO Boxes.

I'm lucky, I live here in Columbia and just run by there to pick up my stuff with no shipping.

Cheers!

You can usually get a catalog to either MidwayUSA or Brownells simply by calling them and saying you are interested in becoming a gunsmith and they will get one in the mail ASAP.

Some companies will share information, I'm not sure if the NRA does.

If you like browsing through gun-related stuff, you should get the Brownells catalog - they're like the Sears & Roebuck for gun folks. If you order one (it is huge) you'll pay $5 but get a $5 coupon. They also have a dedicated catalog to the AR which is free. Natchez catalogs are kinda good too.

The thing I really like about Midway is their Amazon-like rating system and their email notification when things come back in stock.

If you really are concerned, maybe you could get a box at The UPS Store - they'll take UPS deliveries (of course) but otherwise its like a PO Box.

Not many ammo shippers will ship to a PO box. I get the Midway catalog but that's mainly because I bought my Lee Anniversary Reloading kit from them. Since then I've been a pretty frequent customer, much to my wallets dismay.

If you get your C&R you'll qualify for good discounts from Midway, Brownells, and others. Best $10/year investment you'll ever make in your shooting hobby.

stevens model 335 and 311A

I'm new here. Not sure how this is working. But I have 2 questions.
1. I have a model 335 Stevens 12 ga double barrel. I need both wood pieces (stock and hand)
2. Also a model 311A Stevens 16 ga double barrel. No serial # only the letters R, K, circle A and circle G. Beautiful gun. When made?
