I got mid to small hands (yes I’m over it, stop picking) Any target grip suggestions. The Wood grips are too big. Want something grippy.

THANKS

I have the factory rubber with wood inserts on my 6" GP and they fit me pretty well and I consider myself to have small hands. The only thing I need to work on is the seam on the back strap rubbs my hand enough to make it sore after a while.

I have medium sized hands. I have grown fond of rubber grips as I have aged. Much easier to maintain your grip and absorbs some recoil. I haven't found any that are too large yet.
I’m just shifting too much with the wood grips. Not good for consistency

Some 1000 grit sandpaper will take that right off

anybody else likes finger groves? they are so useful! puts your fingers right were they need to be.

Don’t know why they are not cool anymore. 1911 with Finger Grips!!! AMAZING

I like the Hogue finger grove grip that comes on the GPs better than the one pictured above. Finger grooves only work if they happen to fit your hand. I've got XL hands so YMMV. If you want the Hogue in post #7 I can give you one I've never used.

Well if you not using them! I’ll PM you

I am far past the point of caring what's cool. I like grips with finger grooves and Hogue's fit me perfectly. If I make my own I am capable of making the grooves where they need to be to fit. Pooey on "cool".

I’m getting started with not caring. and it feels GOOD! Brand name stuff, best of the best… Nope, just a ragged hole at 15-20 yard and when my eyes get bad, Magnified RedDots!!!

Feels good to be free

Finger grooves suck. Specially when you have xl hands.

I too can send you a shoebox full of hogue finger grooved gp100 grips. You pay shipping and they’re all yours.

you for real? wow

I used to love finger grooves until I learned that I had better recoil control by choking up as high as humanly possible. So now fingers groove don’t line up and are a nuisance.

Thus, I am no longer a fan of finger grooves.

I not saying choking up is ”The” way or best way; it just works best for me.

I run the Hogue's on all of my revolvers including my Pythons. They just fit my small hands well and are grippy. They also absorb some of the recoil from the .357 and .44Mags.

Grips are definitely a personal thing. Problem is it costs too much money to find out what works for you. Too bad there isn’t a business that rents grips for testing. (No, I don’t want to start one)

I have XXL hands and usually do not like finger grooves on my grips, but the Hogue grips that came on my GP100 look and work great.
Also I was not a big fan of black rubber for appearance. Now I am more in the “If it feels good, do it” crowd. 😄
Though I do love it when I find wood grips that work well for me.

That funny! I never considered that, but I hate buying something new only to find it’s been used. I wouldn’t do that to someone else.
I usually don’t know I dislike a grip just by handling it. I have to shoot with the grip installed.

My wife worked at Amazon for 7 years. She told me Women shoes are bought, tried on, and returned at such a high rate. But, they are still making a very nice profit.

I don’t see why we can’t try on a grip and return it if we don’t like it. It’s their policy not mine
