The grip appears to be the same as the EAA/Tangofilo Witness polymer...which retails for $250....

No where near the same as an EAA Witness polymer frame, but far above and beyond.

Nice X-Caliber, you will be happy with it.

Thanks guys. Radir68, as far as I know the U.S the Xcaliburs are fluted. I've read also some countries Xcaliburs have true bull barrels only...not fluted.
More close up pics.....now to get it dirty

What is neat about the Grand Power line is that the rails that the slide travels on is a CNC machined steel frame unlike all other polymer framed pistols I've seen that have stamped inserts in a couple of places. Plus the grip has four different backstraps that will allow a excellent fit to most anyone's hand. Also note that BEEFY ejector.

While I don't have an X-Caliber, I have a Grand Power P1 that has many of the same features. The DA/SA trigger is most excellent and has one of the shortest reset for an out of the box pistol.

blfuller, tells us more about your P1 Grand Power 9mm pistol. That is the one I am interested in but can not seem to get my hands on one yet at gun shows. Budsgunshop has them for about $385.

Way I want to know is will that safety fit my STI GP6 and if so where do I get one. That would take care of the one thing I don't like very well.

Mine is a P1 mk7 imported by Century. I bought it last year and decided it was a keeper and ordered a couple of extra mags from J&G for $19. It has the full size frame just a shorter barrel than the K100. The P1 slide is flush with the end of the dust cover.

If you know any dealers in your area that can order for you, Zanders has them on sale for $319 with 2 mags. Probably be a little difficult to find one at a gun show.

The current importer is Eagle Imports and here's the website link to the Sport Safety lever.

I would verify with them that it would fit the STI, it's only $13. I'm pretty sure it would fit but I would verify before ordering.

Awesome thanks blfuller. I've always wanted to carry the dang thing it's a great shooter and reliable as can be but I just can't get the safety without shifting my grip, dang short fat thumbs.
BTW OP congrats on the X Caliber betting it's a real sweet shooter and thanks a bunch for posting pics

Random question:

Do you HAVE to get both sides of the safety? Or could you run a larger safety on your strong side and a smaller on your off side to keep the pistol slimmer? That would be neat.

I would think you could. I only mentioned the left side because I'm a righty, if you are a lefty then obviously you would want the right side.

Thanks Mav, right on the money about the design of the pistol. Owned 3 glocks including the L model/czp07 and the extended barrel version/steyr c9/fns LS, only one I kept is my GP K100:) which I had since 2012.

Yes, you could only replace one side.
