Never a big fan of small bore N-frames

If ever I could afford it I'd take one and have Bowen turn it into a .45 Colt that is featured in his website. So damned beautiful it makes you want to cry.
Nice collection btw.

Peter claims he has to travel all over the world in his work.. I think he just roams around snagging all those beautiful S&W's.:D

Yeah I can claim I travel. I just got back from Libya and potentially I am off to Qatar late next week to give a talk and attend a conference. After that 2 weeks off then another 6 to 8 weeks in Libya again. After that it looks like Australia then Indonesia again.

Iggy knows I bounce all over the world. I work in places like this:

View of the north Libyan desert. My driver said these are tracks from Rommel and Montgomery on the retreat back to Tripoli.

So I can buy things like this:

50 shot, 15 yards offhand. 1934 shooter that is a tight as a tick and fun to shoot.

Peter,

Yeh, I reckon those Rommel tracks and some of that Russian snow earns you the right to a nice shooter once in a while!!;)

Another couple of years like this one and the ranch is gonna look just like Libya.

i had 3 HD's within the last year. Didn't have it in me to bore one out ala Bowen so i sold the 5 inch nickel to a guy in TX. My 4 inch was made the first month of prodcution in 46 after the war, slick as a gut i wish i had that one back, but the guy really wanted it and a made 3x my money on it. Gave the nicest 5 inch HD in perfect blue to my dad for his birthday. So at least i can still shoot it.
My 6 inch outdoorsman is a tack driver and is not for sale.
I really want a 4 inch fixed sighted .357.. but i cant find a 520 anywhere..

Had a 4" bbl one when I was Elmendorf in Anchorage in the early 50's. Got it new at the Northern Commercial Co. It was a great shooter and I traded it to a fireman in Anchorage for a 38/40 SA Colt with a 6" Christy bbl. Wish I had it back. Don't think I've ever traded a gun that I wasn't sorry about later.
