Gravitation to a particular brand or style?

Other than being a Ruger fan, I prefer stuff that is functional. Sounds like a trite answer, but at the end of the day, I don't care so much about who makes it or what it looks like as long as I enjoy shooting it and it will function with whatever I feed it.

I tend to always look Rugers way first, and for the most part I have never been let down doing that, but I have been highly satisfied with guns from Taurus (I like the PT99 series, and have shot and owned several with complete satisfaction) and disappointed by guns from Smith and Wesson and Glock. In the one case it was poor accuracy and in the other it was an unanticipated and still not fully understood ergonomic issues.

With that said, I don't let one bad experience ruin my opinion of a company. The particular guns in question just weren't for me, but that doesn't mean I hate them all. Case in point, I had a Glock 26 that I sold back to the original owner that I really, really wish I still had, and I have shot a number of S&W autos that I thought were nice. Ugly for the most part, but nice.

Still, if it says "Ruger" on the side, I will probably be happy with it.

All 7 of my handguns are Rugers, 3 semis and 4 wheels. Soon to add a second P95.

Rugers are too much of a great deal for me. They do everything I want and then some at a great price. They do seem to discontinue models too soon though.

While I prefer 1911's, I do like variety and own multiples of Glock, Beretta, S&W, Ruger, BHP. All my 1911's are of different manufacture though...

I own more Beretta's than any one single manufacture (mostly shotguns)

Single action semi autos.

I have Colts and a BHP clone or two. I'd LIKE to get a real Browning someday, but I'd be open to a CZ75SA.

I prefer hammer fired da/sa. If it doesn't go bang the first time, I would rather just pull the trigger again versus having to eject the round, although that might be the best choice. Irregardless, after my cz's and beretta I also carry a DE 1911, a glock 19, a sig p938 and an xd45, so I am not prejudice to different actions. Ruger makes awesome revolvers at an agreeable price, and their customer service is a pleasure to deal with.

I love me my 1911's.

My first was courtesy of Uncle Sam's Yacht Club in the early 70's.

There shall be no others. (except maybee a Hi-Power)

Praise be John Moses Browning !

I wish I had bought more of these.

I wish someone would start making them again...

After buying and selling too many assorted firearms, I settled in on the following in handguns:

Glocks
Rugers

Geno

I love any gun made of metal, i hate plastic guns.

Sig Sauer classic P series are my preference, I also love CZ steel/alloy framed handguns, Revolvers are fantastic, i have never shot a 1911, but they look nice.
