GREAT article in American Legion magazine

Just picked up this month's Amer. Legion magazine. Great article by Joyce Lee Malcolm (prof of hist. at Bentley Coll. in Mass. and senior advisor at MIT Security Studies Program) excerpted from her book "Guns and Violence: The English Experience".

In 3 pages goes over the history of England's failed gun control policy and gives the details of how/why it happened. Just guts the case for gun control vis a vis crime reduction.

Says her book is out in paperback from Harvard U. press, gotta track it down.

Those crazy Brits! It is unbeleivable, you can not even carry a pocket knife? The first thing I noticed about the article was the error in gun handling in the picture! She has her finger on the trigger. A violation of the second rule of gun safety.
