I just had the greatest day at the rifle range. I thought I'd post and share.
My girlfriend and I went shooting today. She has gotten really into it and I've been taking her shooting for over a year, teaching her fundamentals and helping her with her marksmanship. Today, we took my 10/22, K31, and Savage 10FP .308.
So, I started shooting the K31 while she was shooting the 10/22. That was gobs of fun, and I was happy that the Prvi Partizan ammo I was using was agreeing with the K31. I managed 1 1/2" 4-shot groups at 100 yards with it.
And then we broke out the Savage...
Now, she loves the Savage. Really loves it. So I'm at the bench next to her shooting the 10/22 and she's shooting the Savage when she comes up to me and says "I think you'll be proud of me". She went ahead and shot this 5-shot group at 100 yards.
I tell ya, today wasn't my best day in terms of my own shooting, but in the end I didn't care. Seeing that kind of shooting is enough to make my day! I am so proud of her... and I keep thinking how the Russians got it right to employ female snipers.
