Due to our work schedules, we don't get out together as much as we would like. But Sunday we threw caution to the wind and went out for the second time in a week. She ran a bunch more .357 thru my taurus, she's starting to think she wants a 651 instead of an SP101. She shot my Striker for the first time, and that burnt up a brick of .22 real quick. Then I got her to shoot the 44mag contender. After one shot she handed it back, saying it was abit much. So I ran 2 groups of 5, then she took it away from me. 30 rounds later, and I was out of ammo for it. Oh well, at least I got to shoot 10. The best part is that I've now been OKed to buy large quantities of reloading components. She may even let me shoot next time.

Okie ...... ain't it great when the little lady can go shootin with ya! Mine does not shoot that much ... she ain't the addict I am but ... she is well competant and has proved it.

Yep .. these ladies are keepers alright. Bless em.:)

Not to hijack your thread but I had a similar outing on Sunday. This is the third time in 6 years I was able to get my wife to go with me and by far the most fun she has had. She now wants her CCW and has decided that a 1911 will be in order. Looks like I get to but another one, maybe a 3" on an officer frame.

My Grandpappy always told me that if a man marries well he would never want for a better life. I didn't quite understand at the time, but I do now. This lady has stuck by me thru some mighty rough times, like 4 years of nursing school when we ate nothing but beans and spagetti. And she never said a harsh word. So if she wants to shoot up all my 44 ammo, I just sit back and watch and think about how lucky and blessed I am to have someone so special to shoot it with.

Took my wife out a couple of weeks ago....she's a great shot...she actually shot more than I did...she like my Glock17,and can hit COM on a IDPA target at 10 yards........

Yeah, last time I was at the range a couple was leaving the combat range, and I said it was good to see couples shooting together. He said"I'm not sure it's good idea to teach my wife how to shoot..."I said"just make sure you put the toilet seat back down!":D
