I ordered a mold from the comfort of my own home on Monday night and it was waiting for me at home this afternoon. It was in stock, but it made it all the way from Slovenia to Alabama that fast and it is gorgeous and being cycled as I write. Then you have Tom at accurate molds if you can think it up he will make it and have to your house in under a week most times. Great craftsmen putting out superb quality and more choices than we know what to do with. No doubt it is great to be enjoying our hobby at this time or a great time to start.

Nice looking molds. I too got some new bullet molds recently.

Yes, life is much better now compared to 6 years ago during the "Great Shortage" when we couldn't find anything in stock that we wanted.

UPS/FedEx have been dropping off boxes at the house/mail box all week long and I can't wait to upgrade my firearms and build new AR/PCCs not to mention shoot new firearms to be picked up from my FFL.

On first seeing the title I thought this might be related to casting in cooler weather!:) But yeah, there are a lot of good mold makers today that have a fast turn around time. I've recently gotten 2 new Accurate molds. And I did make 1200 or so ingots from scrap a week and a half ago!

What pins are planning on casting with?

I got a 44cal mold setup with cup, penta, large & standard round hp pins that I need to cast up 30#/40# of bullets for testing.

I am going penta all the way. I figure there is no way they will hold together at 454 velocities so my hope is that it will send 5 petals out on their merry path of destruction while the main body continues on. That being said it will take some trial and error to know if my pie in the sky idea has any place in reality.
I may also load some solids but that will be eventually to scratch my itch for long range shooting. The solids have a bc of .2989 so that ought to reach out and touch something.

I'm one of those who wants to start casting. I just scored 15 five gallon buckets of wheel weights from a tire shop. Sorted through 5 buckets and I'm estimating about 75% lead. I'm going to gather some smelting equipment and turn them into ingots in the next month or two. Then I plan to start casting 44 mag, .357 and .41 mag

If you use a bottom pour the MP mold is the way to go and was the reason I went with them over NOE. It looks like it and the Accurate mold could be brothers as far the eye test and feel.
Bandit it is a great time as anything you need from information from very experienced casters/reloaders to all the equipment and materials you need as well as videos to watch and books to read are all at the touch of a key.
