I got notice about the E-forms update, and I regularly get notifications about local gun dealer robberies. For the first time in a long time I've seen a local news story about Federal Firearms Law prosecution of a previously convicted felon -- seems it took him using an illegally converted Glock "machine pistol". Apparently a Glock 17 with a 3D printed "switch" and a 50 round drum, wounded three HPD officers. I only have a C&R.

I live in the Houston area and saw several news stories and some cell phone footage of that boondoggle. They always lead with the illegal machine pistol with 50 round drum angle. Yet they never showed the supposed lightning link that converted the Glock to full auto (I guess maybe so no one could copy it if it actually existed.) And the 50 round drum seemed to malfunction fairly quickly. I seem to remember them referencing him having a "short barrel AR" i.e. an AR pistol that he escaped with. From the footage I saw the cops were running like rabbits to avoid the what sounded to me like sporadic gunfire. Shootings like this happen so often in the Houston area these days its hard to keep them all straight.
