grip fitting?

I found an old ivory revolver grip that belongs to my late grandfather (not sure what happened to the revolver). I don't know anything about revolver but I do would like to fit this grip into a revolver for sentimental reason. What would be the best way to find out which revolver would work for this grip?

Tough call!!!!!!

Can you take a digi pic (and post) of both sides showing inner reliefs etc ... and maybe place a nickel or quarter for scale ....... might be a start.
