Anybody know which, if any, of Rugers Single Action Revolvers would have a grip frame that that would fit the Old Army. Ran across one web site that listed the part (grip frames) but can't seem to find it again. Any after market.
Thanks to all.Here's the link:

???MR3-BD
Love it!
The XR3-RED is the standard '51 Navy style grip frame. The stainless version is the KXR3.
I think you mean the trigger is alloy or aluminum? 1985 was the switch over to steel trigger guards. The grip frames were brass, stainless or steel if memory serves."The MR3-BD is the 1860 Army style grip frame, rare and sought after, the grip frames alone fetch over $400."
I just bought a ROA for less than that, granted it is not "NIB" and has been around the horn, but it is clean, no rust, locks up tight and shoots good. The grip frame is alloy, painted (?) black. Thought I'd pick up a blued steel one, guess again.
I'll spend the money on something that will shoot.
There we go, knew that sucker was something other. On mine it is not bad just a chip or two on the bottom. It is a dull finish so looks cheap. On and ROA the trigger guard is part of the grip frame and the early ones that were not brass were powder coated Aluminum.
The worst part was/ is that the chipped powder coating on the grip frame made them look bad quickly with the aluminum showing through.
I've seen several with the powder coating completely removed and the aluminum polished up. The polished aluminum "Bling" looks better than the beat up and battered partly powder coated aluminum does.
Been there doing that.........MLB you're right, my memory failed on that one! Sorry Whuggett, this part of getting old stinks.
