I'm looking for some wood grips for my SP 101

I've seen the Hogue and Pachmayr rubber ones that are on the ruger website

Actually - Rubber wouldn';t be bad if it was a compound that doesn't like to grab onto cloth
Rubber grips that clutch cloth make my shirt bunch up if I carry.

Thanks - All feedback appreciated, of course

I've tried the Hogue rubber, nylon and wood grips on my SP101. The rubber will grab onto cloth, but the same design Hogues in nylon and wood do not. I don't carry the SP101, so have the most comfortable IMHO, rubber versions on mine.

Mine wears a Hogue rubber grip--but it's only open carried while camping-----the grip is also much better for the range than the factory grip----I generally only shoot full power .357s in it---so it's been a while since I've shot it because the ammo is still scarce and expensive.

Take a look at Badger grips. They look like one piece grips, but have a screw on the opposite side. They have a large selection of real wood and laminate. I put a set of full size grips on a SP101 .22 made of bocote. They are very nice grips, for the money. They fit perfectly, look good, and are good feeling grips. They may be worth a look.

I find my 2 1/8 inch SP 101 a stinger with full power .357 heavy loads. I have Pachmayer Presentation grips and all three of my single action Ruger's and their a pleasure to shoot. I'd prefer rubber on the SP101, but I don't want a grip that makes the gun bigger.

VZ Grips makes some nice grips for the SP. Bigger than the factory grip but not as big as the wood Pachmayrs. G10 so they don’t grab my jacket or overshirt.

I went with nylon and think it is best for what is available. I wanted more than sexy inserts.
