We've had this thread come up from time to time and I've throughly enjoyed it, so I thought it was time to start a new one.

Here's how it works; post a picture of some cartridges and we will try and guess what it is that you posted, it's that simple. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416108079.335154.jpg

I'll start.

Hard to tell for a few with the background as it is. A white paper would be a help.
Anyhoo....let's give it a start.
l to r.
.17HMR, .44 S&W Magnum, .223/5.56, 7.62X39, .500 S&W magnum, .243 Win., .308 Win., One of the .30 caliber short magnums, .270 Win., .30-06 Springfield,....hard to see the necks on the last two. I am assuming another caliber increase and so .338-06, .338 Win. Mag. (hedging here....could be one of the .30 cal Ultra mags on the end...but the diameter appears larger than .308)

My best guesses right now.

300 BLK, .223, .44Mag, .17 K-Hornet.
Yeah....I like that 17 K-hornet pick. I did not look hard enough at the rim of th cartridge in the picture.
300 BLK.....disagree....the .300 is based on the .223 case....the cartridge in the pic has a different rim diameter and more taper than the .300 has.
In the .308 to .30-06 series.....all of those are based on the .30-06 case. they should all have the same rim/head diameter. One is significantly different.
