Just saw this, Kamala Harris owns a gun for "personal safety". However, she is still for "smart gun safety laws", which usually means with politicians she doesn't care about your right to have a gun or which gun you'd choose to own. Their needs are usually much more important than yours.

Who knows, maybe she'll become a member here.

From the article: "She added that she supports "smart gun safety laws" like universal background checks and renewing the assault weapons ban."

Another pandering liberal who clearly knows what’s best for you. A total phony, she got her political start by sleeping with married former Ca Democratic power broker Willie Brown. afterwards she was appointed to political commissions by Brown for her “service.”
#Metoohypocrite, #DoasIsaynotasIdo,

I wonder what gun she does own. if it’s a semi-auto that’s hindered by the 10-round magazine capacity law I also wonder if she got new standard caps last week...

Stay safe!

Very informative post from 2013:

CA Attorney General Kamala Harris: Limited Choice of Guns Even if You ARE Law Enforcement!

What's the ironic part of all this? As CRPA notes, "Apparently, Attorney General (AG) Kamala Harris has changed California State Department of Justice policy and is now limiting federal law enforcement agents' ability to acquire handguns. The AG says the feds can only buy firearms listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale..."

Up until this point, law enforcement officials could buy just about anything. In fact, there were guns that I was not allowed to buy (such as the Ruger LCP .380) that a law enforcement officer could buy. Now, apparently, with a stroke of a pen, Harris has decided that this is no longer applicable.

The saddest part of this whole thing? Cops may now - once again - start seeing themselves outgunned by the bad guys. We know - because it is a proven fact - that criminals do not walk into a gun store to legally buy a gun. In fact, why would they even if they could with the lack of guns that can be purchased? They can get anything on the streets of Los Angeles because too many guns are illegally imported into this country through Mexico.

I was trying to find out what gun she owns ...

IMHO the Government and it's agents should be held to the same laws as the populous. If they want to restrict what size magazine we can own then they should be restricted too.

The Government is not our MASTERS. They are our SERVANTS.

I was just pointing out that she is certainly not shy about restricting gun rights.

I'm also surprised that an LCP .380 is restricted. But I'm not in CA Thank God!

It's a new semi-auto pistol. New pistols are required to have micro-stamping technology.

There's a plethora of pistols available to those in free states that are not available to the serfs in California.

There is a spectrum of policies on guns among the Democratic candidates. None of them is pro-gun, but some are worse than others. Kamala Harris is one of the worst. Of course, nobody can be worse than her fellow Californian, Eric Swalwell, whose entire reason for running is to promote gun confiscation. The guy has a visceral hatred of gun owners.

It may come down to a difference on whether they are willing to allow grandfathering of "assault weapons," or not. A new AWB is a given for all of them.

Whether they can actually get it through, if elected, is another question entirely.

Robert O'Rourke, Corey Booker, Lie-a-watha in Massachusetts... they're all anti-gun-ownership to the core.
I disagree about O'Rourke. He's for grandfathering of existing "assault" weapons, and has said owners should continue to use them "safely and responsibly." (For that, he's received blowback from the left flank of the Democrats.) But any Democrat has to make antigun noises to have a chance of winning a primary among the base. If he's smart, he will moderate on guns by the time of the general election.

And you like or respect the guy for this?

That's like saying that you can keep the books you already have, but you can't buy or write any new ones.

NO, I REFUSE.

When I was a kid they had to "make noises" about segregation and lynching...

Good news. This hurts her as a contender in the primary -- and I see her as appalling for her 4th as well as 2nd amendment views. And may be another example of democratic hypocrisy to mid-American voters.
