Doonesbury vs DBD

If nothing else you have to give DBD some credit for openly and blatantly lifting Doonesbury's style.
Yeah.

I remember fondly all those Doonesbury pro-RKBA panels about shooting and guns and . . . oh, wait . . .

Oh, you mean Trudeau's Doonesbury.

I thought you mean that other Doonesbury. Oh. That's the only one?

Oh, well, it's an easy mistake, since, like, you know, they're always saying the same things and their characters have all the same attitudes and . . .

In any case, since I'm an RKBA bigot, I'll stick with Chris Muir.

To be completely fair, some of the panels with one or two people talking are standard-issue comics (though the blocking in many I've looked at is heavily indebted to '70s Trudeau - only replace soft analog lines with sharp 'digital'-era lines).

You really only get into complete and utter Doonesbury plagiarism with the talking building gag.

Yup

Although, you gotta admit, using the same style to say the opposite thing has a kind of neat matter/anti-matter symmetry about it.

Cartoon judo.

vtodball:
Mmmmmm. Redheads with guns. In fantasy land, a damn sexy concept. In reality, redheads are crazy! I'd rather give a gun to a menstruating mother of ten on crack.

Um, . . . nah, not worth it.

Only if they're actually shooters. The blonde bimbos that don't know which is the dangerous end, and with their finger on the trigger, don't do anything for me.

Amen. Competence is sexy; ignorance is not.
