Gun 'fingerprints' could be coming

Okay, I see a news article that says "this is in the works". Whoopdee freakin doo, this kind of legislation has been "in the works" for a long time.

I don't see a name of the legislator who is planning to introduce the bill nor a list of cosponsers. I don't see an assigned number nor a planned introduction date. I haven't heard of any legislators talking about this to reporters in any immediate way.

That "news report" could have as easily been written during the Clinton administration. It's standard "what we're afraid of will come to pass (but actually hasn't yet)" reporting.

Forgive me if I hold off on panicking until there's an actual bill involved.

Sounds like a "trial balloon" to me, to see how much flak it would stir up. Enough flak, they don't introduce it, not much flak and here comes the bill.

By the Way...
Ruger has been "Fingerprinting" their guns for a while now.

My Super Blackhawk came with a "Copy of the print" in an coin envelope.
They fire 2 rounds and save the cases. The purchaser gets one of them.

I'm thinking about having it Bronzed and putting it up on the mantle :uhoh:
