I am so stoked about this new scope cover I got in the mail today:

DSA was backordered on their scope cover, that I had previously tried to order, and not very communicative with emails. So I found another vendor, who incidentally wanted about 1/3rd of what DSA wanted for theirs. It just came in tonight, and I like it.

Here it is with my ARMS quick detach scope mount and el cheapo rings:

And here is my 16x Super Sniper mounted on my new Bushmaster Varminter. I bought it for the 2 stage trigger and lower setup. It will go with my new FAR Bohica upper, and the barrel will be a spare for my other AR15.

So far the ARMS quick release mount does seem to hold up to the promise of repeat zero after remounting. I have only been able to test it in the house with my bore laser though.

enjoy

I bought two sets of rings, high and medium, I have the highs pictured. I think it is too high as well, and I will mount the mediums before I go out and shoot. I though the highs would be needed, but now I don't think so.

Shot it yet? Let us know if the mount shifts. I don't mean to be rude, or a wet blanket, but if it doesn't hold zero it doesn't matter how much you like the looks of it, how little it cost, or how quickly you got it. And the reason, allegedly, that DSA scope mount is worth the wait and the cost is that they do not shift.

So who is the vendor :D
Do they have Para versions?

The arms mount is a good one. Just find some low-pro burris xtremes and you will be fine.

One of my old roommates bought a cheapie receiver cover with a mount, I was shocked at the fit, it didn't rattle at all and it held a field zero perfectly. Though I'm sure if I bought one, it would swing my scope like a ball and chain. :D

I really don't see how it would shift any more or less than any other mount. It clamps the receiver in the same way as the others that I've seen, and I highly doubt the the FAL is a gun in general, to be worrying about the accuracy of a scope mount. From what I've read, they are 2-3 MOA rifles, and I have yet to determine what mine shoots, hence the purchase of an optic mount.

I doubt that I will be disappointed, but if I am, I'm sure there are other mounts available. The DSA mount has one additional clamp on the charge handle side, for 5 total. My mount has 4 total, two on each side. We will see.

Galati International is the vendor, and I don't remember the name on the box.

No rattles here. I am thrilled with the perceived quality/value of the mount.
