Gun Range restricts ammo used.

My club range restricts rifles other than .22's, although we get away with my buddy Joe's .44 "camp carbine" if just shooting .44Spl.... No .44Mags allowed, either. .357's are iffy.... (Actually, since the place is unsupervised, it's an "honor system". We tend to bend the jacketed ball rule occasionally.)

No jacketed or hollow point rounds, either, and no "human-shaped" targets (that's an NRA thing, I understand). You shoot it, you sweep up the brass....

I understand the "shoot our stuff in rentals" attitude, but not the "don't bring in outside ammunition" part....

Blazers all over the place around here.... The mud monster is staying with her grandmother for a couple months, and has been cleaning the place a bit. (Mom's 94, and has caregivers 24/7.)

Last night, she handed me a half box of .40S&W (FMJ) Blazers with "why did you leave these here?" Not mine.... I bought a box of those in .38 Spl (lead ball only) in 2004, and never anything else in aluminum cases. Matter of fact, the box was price-marked "pre-shortage", so it wasn't recent. (I bought my first .40 about 18 months ago, and another one about three months ago.) I don't reload, but my buddy Joe does, so I don't buy unreloadable ammnition....

One of mom's caregivers, I guess.... I told Becka to be careful - somebody might have left the gun that goes with that box.... She's a shooter, and has enough skill/sense to not touch, but....

(Looks like the box came from my favorite gun pusher, btw....)

Regards,
