Gun safe at CostCo?

I do not trust the "digital" combo locks but are great for changing combos if you need to. I would check on what to do if the circuitry fails or if you can bypass the electronics! Gun safe is always a great investment.

Just pre-ordered a 24 gun Stack On safe at Dick's Sporting Goods. Fire rated at 1400° for 30 minutes. it is a standard combination lock (not electronic) safe. Black Friday price is $399 after $50 rebate, that is $350 of regular price.

Armybrat, read the reviews in that article... I also agree with the digital issue as stated above...... Good luck...

I just walked into the store to see what they had and they said that I could pre-order it and have it available in a week to pick up or, I could come in on Friday, buy one and take it home that day. I am out of town this weekend so I pre-ordered it and they will call me when it comes in. They had five sitting on the floor ready for Friday and the guy at the counter said that had already pre-ordered four today. It was $300 off (or so they say) bringing it to $448.98 with a $50 mail in rebate for a total to $398.98 plus tax.

BTW, they said they would deliver it for $300.... I just smiled and said I have buddies that will do it for beer and pizza.

I don't see the coupons. How do you turn $500 into $350? At that price I'm OK with an RSC over a $2200 safe.

I dunno. In the store they had a $300 off add and a $50 mail in rebate coupon.

I don't know if they are offering different deals in different states or not.

Just curious what you guys think of this safe now that you've gotten it home. How many guns can you stuff into it?

Pictures of it now that it's filled up:)

Costco is a great place. While you go get your safe, pick up a TV and some frozen food for me will ya? ;)

I would definitely prefer a mechanical lock over digital. I have heard horror stories of batteries dying.
