On target, mentioned above, is okay. Small selection of guns and very very small selection of reloading gear.
Rex's Guns and Ammo in Hendersonville/East Flat Rock (15 mins south of Asheville) has the best stock of reloading and shooting supplies in the area. Also has good prices on guns with a fair selection and an indoor range that is dirty, but allows most anything.
Bear Arms, Inc. in Brevard (25 mins from Asheville) is an excellent indoor range for both rifle and pistol, limited supply of guns/ammo.
Asheville Rifle & Pistol Club is the only outdoor range in Asheville. Membership is required, but all that takes is attending 4 meetings. Dues are $75/year. Warning....the club is very much a bench rest and bullseye oriented organization, no "tactical" anything.
Buncombe County Wildlife club is open to the public for Trap and 5 stand.
There is a public range off of NC-215 (between Waynesville and Asheville) that is pretty nice. BYO target stands or hang a target from what amounts to a clothes line at 25, 50 and 100 yards.
