The last 7 or 8 guns shows I have went to the last year or so I have yet to find any decent deals. I stumbled on this fairly nice Remington 870TB for $500. A few nicks and dents in the grade B wood, and recoil pad has been butchered a bit, but it is shootable as is. Very little wear on mag tube and action, it has seen a few rounds but not the tens of thousands that most trap guns have through them. 870TB 011.JPG 870TB 014.JPG 870TB 012.JPG 870TB 012.JPG 870TB 013.JPG Came across another 870 Wingmaster that looked pretty good for $400 also, but let it go as I also bought 2 Marlin 336 Lever guns in .35Rem JM stamped for $400 and $450. Been wanting one of those and they are scarce in my area, and my buddy has been looking for one for a while also. Had to have my two daughters help carry all of them out. This had to be one of the better shows that I have been to in a long while. I had about given up on them.

good pick up, I shot my first 25-25 at singles trap with a 870 trap 12ga in 1968 and there had been a few 870,s in my house since then. eastbank.

Been shooting a TB since 1972, weekly or more often. Close to a quarter million rounds. Replaced, over the years, about everything but the stock and barrel. Yes, some things will break. Of course, I also shot deer, ducks, pheasants, and other small game.
My average in two leagues this year was 95 plus percent, overall 16 and handicap combined. I'm 73 and I'm confident one of my boys will be shooting it long after I'm gone.

I am going to take it out Sunday for a test run and see how I do with it, seems to set up lower than my M12 but I can probably work with it. It is slick, but still locks up solid with no real worn areas on the pump. Will probably put a new recoil pad on it and clean up the stock a bit and see where it goes from there.

The recoil pad looks funky because someone has installed a tapered spacer. This will change the angel of the recoil pad when you mount the shotgun ,and length of pull ( unless the stock was shortened ). May or may not work for your hold when you shoot it.

Yes, I understand that, but it does appear the stock had been cut at a little funky angle. Won't be shooting tomorrow, just got out of the ER, my first go at passing a kidney stone will be in the next couple days. I am a bit high on pain killers right now.

Miss, have a prompt recover.
Drink a lot of fluids, it takes few days to heel.
Btw, as soon as you shoot that beauty tell as.

Well shot a round of trap, broke a 19 from the 16 yard line. Wasn't real pleased, think I was shooting under almost every one from the way the targets were breaking. Just too used to my M12 that has a 90/10 pattern. On the other hand I broke a 21 on the skeet range with it, misses were in the mid stations shooting over the top. I broke out my old boat anchor M1897 Winchester with the polychoke on it and smoked a 25 straight on the skeet range to round out the day. Snowed this morning and was about 36 degrees with a light wind.

All the trap shooters thought it was a good looking shotgun and thought I had got a decent deal on it. Need to find a reasonable priced 30" full choke barrel for it next and then try some more shooting with it. It has been pushing 3 months since I shot last at the gun club so I didn't do too bad.
