Gun show shopping

So, has anyone gone to a gun show and not bought one single thing?
Personally I can't recall never buying anything. Generally I leave with at least targets or another magazine or two for something I own. Then there were the days when I simply had to have another Series 70 Colt or S&W revolver. :) So be it ten bucks in targets I generally leave with something. :)

if I want to buy Army Navy surplus, I can get at the Army Navy surplus Store !!!. hd biker

Depends on the show. If it's the Wannemacher show in Tulsa...I usually buy something because that thing is HUGE!!! Most of our local (NW FL) shows are basically the local gunshops taking their stuff out for a walk. Very seldom see anything interesting there anymore.

I will buy surplus pants there from time to time.....why they are cheaper then Jeans........you price jeans lately....good grief. Now the surplus pants are great for working around the house.....and if you spill paint on them who cares.

I check out my local thrift shops for pants /slacks for work. I usually fine nice quality pants for $3 or 4 dollars. I live in snow bird country in FL and many of them are affluent enough that what they give away is really good clothing

Thanks, one of the things that's fun about working in the industry is seeing interesting things and chatting with customers. If I listen more than talk I learn things so I let customers talk and I pick up all kinds of tidbits of info.

When I was in the industry, I had to listen more than talk. You can only say “Yeah, right” so many times a day.

There are many who can be a wealth of knowledge though. You just have to have a well developed BS meter.

As you can tell from my nick, I'm in Fla also. There's some thrift stores here that have designer stuff new with tags for great prices. Just a shame they don't carry guns! ;)

The "army" pants are pretty tough, that is a big plus when working in the yard....big minus when it is really hot outside.
