So i was at the gun show this weekend, and ended up picking up these two. I finally broke down and bought a M1, still plan on ordering one from the CMP, but I found this one for $580, and couldn't pass it up. The blueing is worn, but it functions well. I got the Ishy 7.62 nato carbine for $250. Took them both to the range today, and i am happy with both. I have read that M1's are sencitive to ammo type, and was wondering if y'all know any alternitives to surplus that won't harm my rifle. I don't mind surplus mind you but would like to know some other options. The M1 is a Springfield, with a 2 million serial number so i am guessing the reciever at least is war vintage.
