Gun Vise

What does everyone use for a gun vise. ...
I have a couple of items that look like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Shooters-Ridg...&qid=1457836596&sr=8-1&keywords=shooting+vise

... but mine are a bit bigger, the "Magnum" model, IIRC.

I have found them to work fine for servicing & cleaning my longguns.

They also come in very handy for performing initial test firing from a protected postion too, something that I always do with my new-to-me milsurps. ;)

EDIT: Lohman Sight Vise is what I have.

A Harbor Freight vice. I have padded jaws and of course the aluminum blocks for AR15 barrel changes, and the polymer jigs for AR15 receivers.

Bkhamlin;

I use a set of ski vises. Mine happen to be the Swix brand, but Toko would work just as well. If you live in ski country they're easy enough to pick up at a swap or garage sale.

The great advantage to them is that they come with rubber padded jaws and since it's a set, adjusting for various length guns is a snap. They really are a very nice accessory to any tool bench whether or not you ski, or shoot, or not.

I have a Tipton vise but would like to build a nice wood one. Tipton is a little sloppy.
