Everytime I go to the site I get redirected to some malware ad site. Beware, I am a frequent visitor to GB so I'll keep checking and let y'all know if it clears up, but for now GB seems to be unreachable.

The conspiracy theorist in me finds the timing of this and POTUS' new threats towards gun ownership very fishy, but that's just me

have been on Gunbroker a number of times over the last couple of days; no problems to report.

just got on, but I was redirected a few times before it worked. Must be on my end, sorry to sound the alarms uneccessarily

Just left Gunbroker two minutes ago.
Was checking the "Completed Items" under "Advanced".

Is your problem related to any gaps in your computer's virus protection?

The problem is not with GB. It's most likely your computer or a DNS entry somewhere.

Every so often while moving about on GB.com I would get redirected to some site that my anitvirus/internet protection suite would immediately catch, so all I see is a warning screen before anything happens.

Since getting rid of Internet explorer and switching to Google Chrome it seems to have stopped--not to mention how much faster my browsing is.

However, I think it has more to do with all the streaming ads they run than the site itself.

Cheers

Most of those kind of issues are malware on your computer/device. Nasty stuff that. Keepba good anti virus/anti malware program(s) rrunningbandbthat type of thing is less likely to happen.

I have in the past had popups and spam from gunbroker, they have admitted in the past they have had issues with such, regardless just get Eset security suite, it stops that crap before it gets on your pc and automatically blocks addresses and popups that would otherwise lead you to even more malware and viruses

The malware is on your own computer most likely. If you have an anti-virus make sure it is up to date and do a full computer scan. If you do not have an anti-virus, you can download AVG-Free (make sure to select the Free version) and that works quite well.

A few other things you can do after that: (if you don't know how to do them you can google it)

Clear Cookies & Cache
Clear temp files
Make sure Windows is up to date (if you're using Windows that is)

Good luck.

I've had occasional obnoxious pop-ups on GB within the last few weeks, and never get them on any other site.
So I think it's a GB problem. I just close my browser and come back later, seems to work ok then.

He's not talking about popups, he is getting redirected to a different site.

Correct, I don't actually remember whether they were large popups or a re-direct.

When either one happens, I immediately close the browser and reboot the computer.
No evidence of virus infection except on GB.
