Has anyone purchased a firearm through Guns America? I have never bought a gun through an online service, but i am interested in a semi auto pistol listed on this site. Looking for advice/experiences.
I've physically gone to a store that advertised on GA. When I was living in Modesto, CA, and Old Sac Armory would advertise guns that were hard to locate (in kal), I'd make the trip and buy.
If it's a reputable store with a verifiable address and phone number, and a selling history, I don't think I'd worry too much.
I found a CZ75 SemiCompact in Duo-Tone for a very reasonable price a couple of years ago on GA. That was just before they upgraded the software. Haven't been able to find anything on there since.
Thanks All; i contacted the seller today, an FFL in illinois who owns a sporting goods store with his wife. After a couple of long conversations with him and his wife ,we came to an agreement and my S&W 1006 10mm will be on it's way to my FFL dealer in two days. Got a good feeling from this gentleman, i hope my faith in the good nature of most folks is rewarded. Price including shipping was $685.00, comes with original box, all paper work and two mags
One rifle (from a FFL), one shotgun (from private seller), no problems.
Be sure to do your homework, though, and do things like get a phone number, a mailing address for the payment, and CALL to discuss the deal before sending any money.
ETA: oops, looks like you already had that covered . . .(embarassed)
Guns America is different than gunbroker. GA only sets up you with other sellers and buyers. You don't bid directly.
However, you can often do the same thing with gunbroker. If its a store selling an item, you can often contact them directly and buy it rather than going through the bidding process. I've also done the same with private sellers, just emailed them and asked to skip the bidding.
