Trying to play a guitar (I've been trying since '65 and seem to be getting worse as my fingers get stiff with middle age)
Reading about guitars/music

Maybe... collecting books?

Well .. shooting is effectively ''numero uno'' and I guess reloading is all part of the whole .... should have added a pic of that in the montage below!

Other stuff tho centers around biking (VTX1300C4) - wish it was good enough weather to get out, right now! .... and R/C airplanes (not up to ChiefPilot's size!) .... but flight is fascinating and even from on the ground ... I enjoy complex aerobatics.

Music is my other hobby. I play in an "oldies" Rock & Roll band, and sing in the Church Choir. Occasionally do men's quartets.

Bet ya never would've guessed.

I shoot golf a few times a week. I thought hobbies were suppost to be relaxing:cuss:

Have a 2003 Herritage (Harley-Davidson) and a 69 FLH (also a Harley). I hand load and have a driving net in the back yard. Hit about 200 golf balls a day.

Just so's ya know ... I am only one year younger than your Dad! Not so sure how ''young'' I look but my son reckons I ain't too bad!

''Internally'' tho .... an 18 yr old is still strugglin to get out!! Maybe shooting keeps me young too.:p

Hey Skunkabilly, is that a kentucky mandolin you got there? I play acoustic guitar (started off classical fingerpicking and such), but have developed a strong love for bluegrass, and folk music and mandolins (much in part thanks to seeing Chris Thile live 4 times... hes just mind boggling)... but anyways, I've started learning mandolin in the past few weeks, and am in the market for a new one (because the one I'm playing right now is an old a-style in pretty rough shape). SO just curious if you had any recommendations on a decent f-style for relatively inexpensive ($350 or $400 maybe), and any pointers on picking up some bluegrass techniques and whatnot. basically any info you wanna provide would be appreciated. thanks! :D

TennTucker,

I thought I was the only golfer on this board. I live on the No. 1 fairway of a local course, so I guess a 3rd hobby would be collecting those slice shots in my back yard.

Shooting
Guitaring (LP and Tele)
Powerlifting
MTB (some trialsin :D ...yes you can trackstand and hop with MTB's)

I'm pretty good at asteroids...:uhoh:

seasonal golfer:cuss:

seasonal golfer

Whats that ?

I have 14" of snow on the ground. I use this for practice. If you swing an iron through the snow, you can see if you are swinging square to your body. Also, I hit those little wiffle golf ball out of the snow. It's great practice for sand shots.

Been playing drums for 35 years also. If I don't shoot it. I beat it:D Reduces tension.

Here's my other hobby ... or at least its something besides guns that I waste too much money on (depends on whether you talk to me or my wife :p ).

Job consumes a lot of my time...

Big aluminum overcast, Boeing of Wichita, built in 1961:

Otherwise, I'm burbling around on a vintage chunk of Milwaukee Iron:

And playing serious games of Bernie-ball with this big doofus:

Assuming Mrs. G-98 (yet another expensive hobby) doesn't want to send some big chunks of lead downrange:
