Guns, Conservation and Taxes... MI or WI?

Michigan here talking to you current and former Wisconsin folks.

How is the climate for WI firearm laws?
The conservation must be astonishing.
Do you see your state becoming more or less restrictive based on your opinion and the sway of your elected state representatives?

Also,
What's the tax situation like? For example MI is 6% but not on food.

We are pretty good as far as gun laws and regulations. Concealed carry permits are easy to get. We have a governor who will probably be a one term wonder. Deer hunting use whatever you want except for a few select areas. Taxes are 5.5% except the Milwaukee area where it is 5.6%. No tax on food. Income taxes are a bit higher than average.
