Guns that are just plain fun to shoot

I have eight guns as of now, and they're all fun to shoot. But the ones that are FUN to shoot- like the ones that I get all giddy when I pack for the mountains - just my plain-Jane hex receiver Mosin Nagant, and a Marlin Model 60. There's something that I just enjoy about cheap guns, I don't know what it is. It's like your life doesn't depend on them, they're sole existence is to just be enjoyed and make you happy. Shooting my 1911 New Agent and my 590A1 is almost like taking the mountain bike into the mountains to train with, like it's *business*. The Mosin and Marlin are more like a fun stroll to town on a cruiser bike and hitting a pub for a beer with the friends. Both are fun to do, but are much different experiences.

Any of my shotguns when it comes to Sporting Clays. For plinking Hi-Point 9mm is fun....But, even more fun is an AK74 bullpup. And, cheaper to shoot with spam can ammo. However, with 30rnd mags, you can go thru some ammo fast.

Mosin M44 is always fun to shoot. If I want a break from that and shoot faster, I grab the 22lr M&P15-22 and plink away with 30rd mags.

I like them all and they all put a smile on my face. I want to one day shoot a full auto, Garand and a 50 bmg. Those will only make that grin bigger!

I like and enjoy just about everything that goes bang!

For Rifles it's either my Springfield M1A or my 1895 45/70.
For Pistols my nickle 29-2 8/38" or 7.5" stainless SBH 44 mags.
For shotguns my Winchester model 50 that I inherited from my grandfather. That gun puts a smile on my face followed by a couple tears. Couldn't buy that gun from me for a million dollars.

Pretty much anything with a trigger and a firing pin...

Seriously, the ones I don't like shooting, I get rid of.

Favorite pistols: anything 1911, Browning Buckmark Hunter
Favorite shotguns: Benelli Nova, my granddaddy's single-shot 12 gauge
Favorite rifles: M1 Garand, any of my ARs, all of the 22LR (and there are 6 different models)

Whille I like M1 carbine a lot, those two are even more funn:

Like most here, if it has a trigger and goes boom, I like shooting it. I don't have a rifle that I don't like to shoot. I'm mostly a bolt rifle guy, and love my '95 Mauser and '03 Springfield, and anything in .22 is fun. However, I do have an especially good time when I'm warming up the barrel of my AK84S in .223.

Only accurate rifles interest me, but accuracy means different things to different people and different guns offer different levels of accuracy. All my current guns make me smile most of the time, but frowns come sometimes and I repair or improve. It's an ongoing challenge to get the most fun and accuracy out of each. I'm glad to have the ability to cure most ills.

This week, I shot the best CF group of my life and discovered a bad scope on another rifle. The scope has been retired and I look forward to shooting the rifle again. That's gun ownership in the experienced lane.
