I am looking toward having an Ortgies pistol refinished a new bluing. I want the job done correctly. I want this thing to look as new as possible, with a finely applied finish that will last for years with proper care. I am looking for someone to take down the gun all the way - I do not want to have to take it apart before the guy will accept it. Then I want it stripped of the old finish, reblued, then reassembled correctly. I will refinish the wood grips myself.

If anyone has a recommendation for someone who does truly excellent rebluing work, please let me know a contact email address for him/her and.; let me know the web address too if they have one. I am willing to send this out of state, I don't think that is a problem with guns going for repair.

All the best,
Glenn B

Good Rebluing Work

I've used this gentleman for a 1911 and his work was superb. Have recommended him to others and have heard one of them say also that they were happy. You might email him to see about the disasembly....his web page says he uses a local Smith.
