Guys, I play a game called nationstates and one f the latest rules I need to decide on concerns firearms.

So the question is

This weekend, a citizen's group calling itself Gun Owners of LIael has petitioned Congress with a controversial bill making gun ownership compulsory.

The Debate
"This is a very important step to securing the rights and lives of our families and controlling the government," urges noted gun ownership proponent Aaron Thiesen. "Not only would it significantly decrease crime, but it would also effectively stop government tyranny in its tracks. Of course, this also means that every wacko and their cousin will have a gun, but don't worry, you'll have a gun to defend yourself from them, so it will all work out."

"While the Gun Owners of LIael have the safety and security of our people in mind, it would simply be impractical to enforce," comments Police Chief Aaron Jones. "A better option would be to legalize, and encourage use of, concealed carry laws, which would allow responsible citizens to keep firearms with them at all times, on their person, to kill any wacko or their cousin who they think is threatening them."

"Compulsory gun ownership?! Concealed carry?! Are these fools nuts?!" rants an enraged Million Mummy March activist. "We don't need any of these things! What we need is complete gun registration, so that the government can track down dangerous people, like those people who possess unregistered weapons."

there are the options and I agree it is terrebly worded but hey at least there is a pro gun opinion

"What we need is complete gun registration, so that the government can track down dangerous people, like those people who possess unregistered weapons."

Haha! At least the programmers there understand how these people's thought process works.

If it were me, I'd got for option B. Optional, not compulsory.

optional sure, but you have to buy your no gun in house tax stamp. the stamp is just 1000 yearly

Ah Nationstates! Fun to be sure, been years though since I've played my nation.

So unless its changed since I've played, go with whatever you want! The issues always come back up so you can always "change sides" if you so desire. Sometimes its fun to be a complete despot with your primary industrial strength being basket weaving. =)

Even the "total 100% registration" pokes fun at the issue. So don't take it too seriously.
