Is the H4350 good for 7mm08. I just bought a pound and was wondering has anyone used this powder before. Thanks

I haven't used it in 7mm08 but I have a couple of 7x57 rifles and they (7mm08 and 7x57) are very similar with the 57 having a little more case capacity. H4350 and IMR-4064 are my go-to's for 7x57 and H4350 should work very well in 7mm08.

Thanks ive loaded up a few rounds to test. I have 4064 also will try some of it also. Its my go to powder also.

It will work very well and its good for temp variations. Use a Manual and start in the low 40gr range, Varget-RL15-IMR4064-IMR4350-IMR4895 are all good in that caliber likewise. When I was working up an accuracy load for my 7mm-08 I actually used everyone mentioned and H380-H414 ball powder also. Let the gun tell you which powder it likes the most, than go up and down on charge weight staying in safe limits according to your manual(I really like the Nosler and Hodgdon ones). Figure out what COL reaches your lands in your rifle and than try different distances off lands till you locate the sweet spot where groups get the tightest. That's as simple as loading an empty case with a bullet you intend to use and chambering the dummy round 8-10 times and look for the OAL that comes up, make sure the bullet is loaded long and let the chamber/lands seat the bullet. They make tools that do this also, once you get the powder and charge weight honed in along with distance off lands you're ready to go. Good Luck

I haven't used the h 4350, only the imr. The 2 powders are similar with only a couple of grains difference in charge weight. I would have but couldn't find it when I was doingost ofy load work up's. It never hurts to have several acceptable loads for a given rifle.

I load both IMR-4350 and RL-15 in the 7-08. 120-140 Noslers are my go-to's. Find your best powder node, then use a comparator to measure and experiment with bullet jump for the best overall combination.
