i dont know what sucks more with 3inch a h and r or the mossburg bolt shotguns

I'll tell you what sucks more, if that's even possible: an H&R single shot, Model 176, chambered in 3 1/2" ten gauge. I touched one off from the bench once that my crazy brother owned when he was trying to measure patterns. Glasses askew and a bloodied nose made that single shot "Topper" a single shot for me, for sure, forever. :cuss:

These guns are so versatile. I like to suggest these in 20 ga for a first home defensive gun. Cheap, simple, but effective & safe. Dave Canterbury has some great YouTube videos & articles on using a 12 ga Topper for wilderness survival.

Yip, had the Topper Jr. in 20 Ga. when I was 10-12 years old. Was a great timber rattler snake gun on the old home ranch boonies of Arkansas.

guys I only own singleshot shotguns all 12ga one is the h&r pardner turkey model 3 1/2in chamber 24in barrel fixed full choke and when I'm shooting turkeys I never notice recoil but if I am shooting at the range for fun well I sure notice the recoil!! but I love hunting with singleshot shotguns I hunt squirrel rabbits turkey etc, with mine I also have two standard pardner 12 gauge shotguns and one has a fixed full choke the other modified both have 28in barrels both are h&r and so I love these singleshots and plus I put recoil pads on these standard models so I can shoot 3in shells without the sting!
