Just recently scored another set of the Hamilton Burr Duelers put out by the American Historical Society in the early 80's and made by Uberti.

These are very high quality and historically accurate. 2000 sets were made and in 1981 they cost $3195 equivalent to about $14,000 today.

As an investment these were horrible but at the $1200to $1500 you can buy them for today they are a great bargain if you enjoy shooting flint lock pistols.

The originals were made by Robert Wogden in London likely sometime in the 1780's. His dueling pistols were so popular in England that duels came to be known as Wogden affairs.

This is my second set of these. I also have a set of the Philadelphia Derringers. Think Lincoln assassination. I'm on the lookout for a set of the Washington Flintlock pistols.

All of these sets were hugely expensive when they were marketed and like most things made specifically to be a collectors item they end up being terrible investments.

On this end of the spectrum however since they were made to such high standards and bring such low prices they are great.
