How does one get past/remove sear block on a post ban (1994)Colt to upgrade trigger?? My current trigger limits my accuray to 500 or under yards. National Match will not drop in till I GET RID OF (or??) the sear block to make room for 'new & better" trigger. Advice/Products/Help please.

I looked at it and took it to FLG who put it under the milling machine.
There are pictures somewhere on the Gorenet, AR15.com, maybe, showing a brave soul cutting one out with a Dremel.

I don't know of a trigger to fit a Colt with sear block but I have not looked real hard.

Hope this helps; it's a Jard 2# single stage trigger in a Colt 6520. It was not difficult to install, and they make single and dual stage with a variety of pulls, some of them adjustable.

Does that look like your sear block?

What sear block?
MMcfpd, it looks like yours is the late model Colt with the section of the receiver just not milled out. My CR6724 CAR-A3 had a separate block held in with three blind pins. It extended farther forward and had to come out before the JARD would go in. As I suspect is the case for Claude's.

Here is where the brave remove them with a Dremel. Like I said, I looked at that, looked at the block, and got it under a gunsmith's milling machine.

I'll readily confess that I'm not really sure what the AR-15 sear block looks like. A google search didn't turn up much that was helpful, although I did find something identified as such on quarterbore's site.

I have Jewell two stage triggers in both of my post ban Colt lowers with the sear block. No problems, just ordered the large pin model.
