I'm having trouble with a little .22. The cylinder lock will not drop to allow the cylinder to rotate when you cock the hammer. I took the trigger group out and made sure there were no broken parts or springs. Noticed that when putting it back together, if the front pinis installed, then the rear of the trigger guard is left about a pin width the cylinder lock will drop like it is supposed to...once the rear of the trigger guard is in position, it does not work. realizing this, I have taken it apart several times trying to figure out what might be binding or stopping the lock from working. The rest of the revolver works correctly. I'd hate to junk it over a simple fix/adjustment. Thanks, Mark

OK. I looked at that... and that does seem to be the problem. I thought that the spring might bee weak/too loose so I streched the spring a little with no change. If the housing is left "loose" from the rear pin, it will function correctly. ie: will pull the disconnect down into the frame when the trigger or hammer is moved, then release to lock the cylinder after a second. the problem is that when pinned into position, it seems to bind on something. First I thought it might be against the trigger return spring, as it was a little bent. I straightened it with no change. It is almost like the trigger nose is out of position when the guard is pinned. Do I need to hone the trigger nose? I am still looking for an exploded view of the hammer/release set up to get an idea as to where it is supposed to meet the cylinder lock bar. Any help would be great, Mark

H&r 22

You can try Numrich Gun parts, get a catolog because you'll search for ever using their web page. Also. A company called Jack First, their catolog is a 3 binder set and cost about $35.00. If you ever need a reference, as far as schematics or parts, they are worth the cost to have on hand. I have been pretty lucky with them on some VERY hard to find parts. As a cost effective "TEST", try using a little JB Weld on the trigger nose, file down to approx angle and see if that cures it, if it does, you know you need a trigger.

I have some JB weld, I'll try that...I suppose I can heli-arc some material on the nose and reshape it if it works. Thanks for your help.
