h&r singleshot question

hey guys i have an h&r pardner singleshot 12 gauge that i took apart to replace a broken hammer spring on and i am haveing trouble putting it back together i get it put back all together and the trigger is light and the hammer wont cock back so do you guys have any tips you have or if you can evan put one back together without a gunsmith? thanks

I will look i had a pdf that showed how to take one apart and put them back together . as i recall you have to use a slave pin to hold the trigger group together . ill try and find that pdf
