I stopped by one of my favorite dealers this morning, as usual for me on a Saturday (he makes the mistake of always having coffee available and providing free donuts on Saturdays) and found this H&R with an interesting story, at least to me. The original owner bought it at K Mart in the late '60's -the price tag on the box indicates $31.97, and he got one 50 round box of Remington ammo to go with it, then stuffed it in the linen closet and there it stayed till it was found by his family after he passed on. He bought the gun for defense during the riots, and that struck an old memory. People who were not, until then, interested in guns whatsoever, started to buy whatever they could, and I recall neighbors and friends approaching my dad back then as to what they should buy, where to buy it, etc. Dad would of never recommended an H&R, but this little revolver looks as if it is of decent quality and it cost me less than a tank of gas for my pickup so I thought I'd bring it home.
