serial# S#####, The revolver has a tiny screw on the topabove where the hinge is. What is it for? Also would thie gun have a rear site?

I've never seen a screw like that before. Does it come out easily?

My two guesses.

1 - For easy barrel swap if gun came with extra barrels.

2 - holds in a spring and ball detent for yoke to frame lockup.

DON'T take it out. On that variation the screw holds a spring mounted detent plunger that locks the cylinder crane in place. IT IS supposed to be there. It should have a milled "gutter sight" - if not there will be a transverse notch cut into the top rear frame that will hold a small adjustable sight blade. Can't see enough detail from your picture.
'S' prefix indicates 1956, an early 929.
