I have a H&R 949 revolver that started miss firing. Yeah I'm sure most of you already know what this is but I didn't so when I pulled the grips, I wiggled the main spring and the assy fell out.
Plastic end that rides on the hammer broke off.
I found one at Numrich's so when it gets here I will put it in. It is the steel one instead of the plastic piece of crap H&R was using when they went out of business. No wonder why.
I think it is aftermarket, not original.
This main spring assy is all metal and the end I think is just a retainer to hold the spring on there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I'm supposed to use the original piece in the top photo for on the end of the spring shaft.
Am I correct in thinking the end in the first photo replaces what is on the end of the one I bought from Numrich's?
